Propeller Health was founded on the heels of a then-mysterious string of asthma attacks in Barcelona in the 1980s. It took eight years for experts to identify the culprit: Soybean dust, which was not identified as an allergen at the time. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) disease detective David Van Sickle envisioned a better way to monitor allergens: By tracking medication usage and symptoms.

Since day one, we’ve understood that digital health has the power to collect unprecedented data to shed light on where, when, and why populations experience respiratory disease.

We’ve learned that we cannot solve chronic respiratory disease without addressing the upstream factors that impact public health.
