Propeller Health Named a Winner of Fierce Healthcare Innovation Awards 2022

Propeller Health’s precision digital health platform wins the Clinical Information Management category of the Fierce Healthcare Innovation Awards 2022. The platform enables physicians and care teams to proactively identify at-risk patients in between routine visits and provide more timely clinical interventions.

MADISON, WI, November 15, 2022 – Propeller Health, a leader in precision digital health, today announces its platform for chronic condition management is a Fierce Healthcare Innovation Awards 2022 winner. The program showcases outstanding innovation that is driving improvements and transforming the industry. The Propeller Digital Health Platform for Chronic Condition Management (“The Propeller Platform”) enables proactive clinical care by collecting objective patient data and displaying resulting insights directly within a provider’s native workflow.

“At Propeller, data itself is only the beginning – activating it is what powers patient care,” said Susa Monacelli, Propeller Health General Manager. “By surfacing the data within clinicians’ existing workflow through EHR integrations, we enable their treatment decisions and help identify at-risk patients. Patient self-management coupled with proactive clinician intervention helps improve clinical outcomes and, in turn, economic value for health systems, payers, and patients. Our focus is to do this across connected medications and therapies to change healthcare at scale.”

Propeller’s data-centric digital health platform was chosen as a winner because it demonstrates an innovative solution that has the greatest potential to improve the clinician experience, engage patients, save money, and revolutionize the healthcare industry.

Supports proactive clinical decision making with objective patient data

Clinicians can easily access important patient data, either by using the Propeller Clinician Portal or within their clinical workflow through an EHR integration. They can remotely monitor and view reports about patients’ medication usage, symptoms, and triggers, then use these insights to guide conversations and make treatment decisions. By replacing subjective patient-reported data with objective, actionable insights, physicians and care teams can proactively identify patients who may be at a greater risk for an exacerbation, especially in between visits, and provide more timely clinical interventions.

Enables remote monitoring, reducing administrative burden and easing clinician burnout

The Propeller Platform provides a clear line of sight into an entire patient panel’s medication use and disease control status, enhancing care coordination and reducing the administrative burden associated with collecting and recording historical patient data. Physicians are empowered to focus their limited time on high-risk patients and allow additional care team members to assist with patients who are better managed, mitigating the potential for burnout.

“Winners of the Fierce Innovation Awards represent those that champion innovation in the face of great competition,” said Rebecca Willumson, SVP & Publisher of Fierce Biotech and Fierce Pharma. “Our panel of judges looked for effectiveness, technical innovation, competitive advantage, financial impact and true innovation. We are very proud of this year’s class and send our congratulations to all of the Innovation Award winners.”
